Shore Temple: The Shore Temple is one of the oldest temples in India. It stands on the sea shore with its paved forecourts. An immense bas-relief, 27m long & 8m high, intricately carved, depicts Arjuna's Penance.

Cave Temples: The carvings in the Mahishasuramardini cave, which shows the goddess Durga killing a demon & Lord Vishnu in his cosmic slumber (ananthasayanam), are particularly remarkable.

Rathas: The finely caved Rathas found here are known as the Rathas of the Pandavas. These five Rathas are example of sculptural excellence.
