Dibang: Indian Tourist Spot
About Dibang: On the Indo-Burma border in Tirap district is the Miao wildlife sanctuary. For the keen observer of animals and birds, watch-towers have been set up at various water spots. The area itself, surrounded by rugged snow-capped mountains, has a spectacular landscape. The ancient ruins of Bismaknagar palace in Dibang Valley district date from 12th to 16th centuries or perhaps even earlier. The remains show a mingling of the Tribal and Aryan ways of life. In the foothills of West Siang, overlooking the greet Brahmaputra Valley are the remains of Malinithan, noted for its rich sculpture and artistry. Granite images, idols of Kartika, Surya, Ganesha and the Nandi Bull have been discovered at the site.
